January 13, 2025: The Evans County Charter School System (ECCSS) is seeking a dedicated and visionary leader to serve as its next athletic director, responsible for overseeing all aspects of the district’s athletic programs. This position offers flexibility, with opportunities for full-time, part-time, or other arrangements, to attract the most qualified candidates.
The athletic director will ensure the alignment of our athletic programs with the mission and vision of the school system, promoting student success, fostering school-community relations, and managing staff, budgets, and facilities. The successful candidate will also coordinate with the Tiger Athletic Club, a donor club designed to support student athletes.
Qualifications:
Required: Georgia teaching or leadership certificate and five years of coaching experience, preferably at the high school level
Preferred: Master’s in Educational Leadership or Sports Administration, experience managing athletic programs, and strong knowledge of GHSA rules and Title IX compliance
Key Responsibilities:
Lead and administer middle and high school athletic programs
Oversee budgets, facilities, and compliance with GHSA regulations and Title IX compliance
Support student-athletes’ academic success and college recruitment efforts
Foster community relationships and manage athletic events and schedules
