January 17, 2025: Evans County Charter School System (ECCSS) is working with local officials to monitor the winter storm that is predicted to move through our area next week. While there is still a great deal of uncertainty with the storm, the greatest concern currently is the potential for snow and ice which could impede the safe operation of school buses and other vehicles. As a proactive measure, teachers are creating take-home and online materials if the need to delay, dismiss early, or cancel school arises. We will continue monitoring the forecast, and we plan to provide an update by 6:00 PM, Monday, January 20, 2025.
Official alerts regarding our district will be shared with families through our Kinvo messaging system. Please continue to monitor our district and school communications, as well as our district social media and website, for any further developments.
Student, employee, family, and community safety is our number one priority. Please take time before early next week to make sure your winter storm plans are in place and that you have the needed supplies to weather a potential winter storm.
