Evans County Charter School System Enacts Precautionary Safety Measures
No threats made to ECCSS
November 30, 2022: The Evans County Charter School System (ECCSS) received information that several regional high schools were on lockdown due to active shooters or the threat of such activity. There has been no such threat made against Claxton High School. However, out of an abundance of caution, additional city police officers and county deputies are on the scene. Again, there have been no threats made at ECCSS and all students and staff are safe. Preliminary reports are indicating this may have been a coordinated hoax.
