Our 7 Mindsets focus this week is "Act with Purpose." When you make the decision to do something, think about the action you are about to take. Is this action taking you in a positive direction or a negative direction? Stay on the positive path and take steps towards reaching your goals! #7Mindsets

Second graders have been asking great questions to determine the sequence of the life cycle of butterflies and frogs. Some of the students were eager to hold live tadpoles to see their tiny hind legs up close. Others preferred exploring the different stages of the life cycle of frogs using augmented reality with their iPads. Click here for more photos.

Does your family have a Coat of Arms? Students in Mr. Lucas's 7th grade social studies classes had the opportunity to design their own. After researching the variety of symbols and colors used in the flags of nations studied, students created a personal Coat of Arms utilizing various colors and symbols representing personal characteristics. Each class voted on a winner, and an overall winner was chosen. Congratulations to Katherine Rosales-Rodriguez for being the overall winner. Her design will be turned into a 3D image that she can keep, thanks to Mrs. Stephens, 8th grade science teacher, who agreed to print this on the 3D printer. Congratulations to our finalists, as shown left to right in the group photo: Yamil Hernandez Campos, A'zaiah Brewton, Anahi Gutierrez, Katherine Rosales-Rodriguez (overall winner), Za'Leda Cullars, and Izabelle Gonzales.
