In September, Mr. Gay's High School High Tech students toured Ogeechee Technical College. HSHT student Zyeair Harden is also currently dual enrolled in the welding program at OTC. He was very proud to show his classmates the Welding Room at OTC and his welding station.
This is the last round of the 2000s! As a bonus, this former CHS Tiger included a newspaper clipping from when he was name CHS Football Player of the Week!

Mr. Hall's Ag Mechanics class collaborated to create a bill of materials for building a bench and used a driver, a drill, and a jigsaw to build the bench. These benches will be featured outside of Food Fresh for the patrons there.

Pre-K enjoyed Mrs. Angela from Farm Bureau. She read the book, "How Many Seeds in a Pumpkin?" and students were able to pick a pumpkin to take home. She also showed the students how to make pumpkin pie in a bag, and afterwards they were able to taste it. #CES
Come out and support our CHS Tiger Marching Band and Color Guard! They are participating in Statesboro High School's East Georgia Band Competition. Today's performance is anticipated to be the best yet as these students and their leaders have used film and competition feedback to improve their show. Performance time is 1:20 PM. Good luck, Tigers!

Enrique "Kiki" Camarena was a Drug Enforcement Administration Agent who was tortured and killed in Mexico in 1985. In honor of Kiki's memory and his battle against illegal drugs, friends and neighbors began to wear red badges of satin. Parents then began to form coalitions using Camarena as their model while embracing his belief that one person can make a difference. These coalitions adopted the symbol of Camarena's memory, the Red Ribbon. Today, the Red Ribbon serves as a catalyst to mobilize communities to educate youth and encourage participation in drug prevention activities. This week at CMS and CHS, students participated in activities to encourage them to live a drug free life. We hope that they keep this drug free mindset and become successful adults. #7mindsets
Pumpkin Week, oh what fun!
Mrs. Cowart, Ms. Miyon and Mrs. Penny's class had a fun week of exploring pumpkins! Carving a pumpkin, decorating pumpkins, measuring and weighing pumpkins and eating pumpkin cookies were some of our activities! Next up....bats and spiders!
October is National Principals Month and CES is proud of our very own, Mrs. Julie Howard! Students and staff throughout the school created letters and cards to show their appreciation to Mrs. Howard. This also served as a relevant 7 Mindsets activity for our current mindset, Attitude of Gratitude. CES is grateful for Mrs. Howard's leadership! #CES #ExcellenceLeadershipFamily
