Day two of our new CES drop-off was MUCH improved! Thanks for working with us as we implement this change. Our goal continues to be to make our traffic pattern safer for all.
As a reminder, please make sure you are in the drop-off line by 7:55. If you arrive later, the back gate will be closed, and you will need to go to the front of the school to walk your student in.
Student/Athlete Cookout - Thursday, May 26, 2022 at 4:30pm at Tiger Town.
Must be on your coaches Final Roster for the team
NO guests (CHS Student Athletes Only)
Wear athletic gear, some Tiger gear, etc.
(Competitive games vs. other grade levels; kickball, flag football, etc.)
Make sure you sign up in the Cafetorium
Concession stand will be open (Hotdogs, hamburgers/drinks)
CHS Athletic Spring Banquet is scheduled for Thursday, May 19, 2022 at 6:00pm in the CHS Cafetorium.
Strict dress code (Dress for the occasion; males must wear a tie.. if you need one, please see Mr. Cooper or Dr. Mizell immediately.
The "BEST DRESSED" team will win an award.
Ms. Thigpen and Mrs. Melissa’s class celebrated the letter “S” with silly socks and sunglasses.

Mrs. Smith, Ms. Nicky, & Mrs. Amber’s Pre-K class enjoyed the sun today in their sunglasses and silly socks for “S” day.

Mrs. Sapp's 3rd, 4th and 5th grade art classes made Rag Flags during art today.


The Career Awareness and Art class created Nurse Appreciation crafts for our shool Nursing staff.




Ms. Thigpen and Mrs. Melissa’s class enjoyed “Popcorn with Parents”.

CHS students and staff lined the hallways to celebrate the Class of 2022 on their Senior Walk.
CHS Seniors had their Senior Walk through CHS on Friday, May 13. Congratulations Class of 2022.
Friday, May 13 was a busy day for our Seniors. They started the morning with 1st period finals. Then they met with Bill Price from WCLA radio to record their radio spots. They also spent time with Mrs. Snyder to verify the pronunciation of their names for graduation.
CMS wishes our 2022 Claxton High School graduates best of luck and a huge congratulations! We are so proud of you!



Congratulations to Michael Rubio, Katherine Rosales-Rodriguez, Isabel Binuelo, and Destiny Ramirez! These Claxton Middle and Claxton High School students were selected to participate in the Migrant Education Program (MEP) Summer Program at Georgia Southern University (GSU)!
During the one-week residential program, our students will get a taste of campus life at GSU through activities and classes with GSU faculty and staff. The MEP Summer Program is designed to help students focus on high school graduation and develop math and language skills.
Mrs. Gloriela Hunter, our ECCSS Migrant Support Specialist Provider, nominated our students, and we are thrilled they were selected to be part of the MEP Summer Program!
