CMS hosted an "Engagement Party" during their faculty meeting last Thursday. Our faculty and staff gathered to celebrate increased engagement in the classroom and in our PLCs! We are excited for our progress, and we are looking for that 3.0 carat engagement ring!

Mrs. Daniel’s homeroom made a kindness chain after their 7 Mindsets Lesson, Live to Give, with Mrs. Keyfauver. Each child wrote a kind act they have done for someone or something kind that was done for them on the chains.

Congratulations to Sergio Gomez, a CHS senior, and Eli Waters, a CHS junior, for their participation & performances in the Rotary Speech Competition!

Ms. Shanda’s and Ms. Courtney’s Pre-K class got a visit from Louie the Leprechaun today! He left some goodies and a box of Lucky Charms. They then practiced math skills by sorting the Lucky Charms into groups and counting how many they had of each type!

Congratulations to 3rd Grade!!!!
We chose to honor an entire grade-level (students and their teachers) for going above and beyond while studying "Attitude of Gratitude". Third grade teachers plan together for ways to incorporate the mindset into their daily routines and students participate in activities that demonstrate their willingness to learn and put the mindset into practice.
Students were surprised and rewarded with a cupcake party and extra recess. They were so excited! Thank you third grade, for being a mindsets role model.

Mrs. Ulmer's morning class explained the steps they took to create a digital scene to attract a leprechaun.

CHS sophomores, Ayleen Ovando, Susana Figueroa- Arguello, Jessica Morales-Lara, and Coral Tello (pictured with the yellow background) delivered roses to our CHS staff this morning. Susana Figueroa-Arguello, who helped organize the flower sharing said, "These past days many of us have realized how much teachers and admin mean to us, and sometimes it becomes too late to let them know how much we appreciate them. We don't want to make that mistake again and decided to make teachers feel loved today. It takes a lot of courage to stand up and be strong for us students, and that's something to really admire and respect."
CHS faculty and staff were touched by this generous act of kindness by our students. Thank you, CHS students and staff, for helping us continue to make our way TOGETHER through the tragic loss of Ms. Sikes.

Mrs. Herrington and Ms.Trotter’s class are discussing St. Patrick’s
Day and frogs this week. They played a game where they rolled a dice, counted pretend flies and fed the frog. They also sorted Lucky Charms and of course enjoyed eating them afterwards.
