🔬🧫 Science in Action! 🌱🐾 Mrs. Young’s Life Science students explored the world of microscopes and classification this week! 👀✨ They’re learning how to classify organisms based on shared characteristics and traits. 📚🔍 Aligned to the standard “Develop and defend a model that categorizes organisms based on common characteristics,” students are using their observations of cells and organisms to create classification models that showcase their learning. 🎨✨ Imagination Meets Inspiration in Visual Arts! ✨🎨 Our Visual Arts students have been diving into creative projects that bring together unique artistic styles and inspirations! 🌟 Project 1: Students combined the whimsical eeriness of Tim Burton’s snowmen with the swirling beauty of Vincent van Gogh’s Starry Night to create stunning, one-of-a-kind masterpieces. 🎄 Project 2: Drawing from Dr. Seuss, students crafted scenes featuring the Grinch himself holding an ornament, blending creativity and holiday cheer. For both projects, students used multiple art mediums to bring their visions to life, exploring textures, colors, and techniques. Our students had the opportunity to dive into hands-on learning activities and explore key concepts like solar and wind energy, energy transformation, and careers in energy.
