🗳️ Election Day for Pre-K! 🗳️ Ms. Amari and Ms. Nicky's class held their very own Presidential Election in the classroom! 🗽 Students discussed the importance of voting and learned about the rules of the voting process. They practiced each step, from check-in to casting their ballots 📝. After voting, each student proudly received an "I Voted" sticker! 🎉 What a wonderful hands-on way to learn about democracy! 🗳️ #ReadySetGrow

🏴‍☠️ Ahoy, Mateys! Celebrating Readers with "The Great Pirate Race"! 🏴‍☠️ On October 24th, Claxton Elementary hosted an exciting Accelerated Reader reward party with Sean Driscoll and The Story Ship! Around 200 2nd-5th grade students who met their reading goals enjoyed “The Great Pirate Race” – a high-energy, interactive show filled with music, storytelling, theater, games, puzzles, and a dash of magic! 🪄🎶 This event made learning and achievement fun, bringing a crazy, engaging game show that challenged skills in math, ELA, and more, while keeping everyone entertained! We couldn’t have asked for a better celebration for our amazing readers! 📚🥳 #ReadySetGrow

Georgia schools participate in a NO FEE NOVEMBER, so you do not have to worry about paying for the application fees. There are a select few that do not participate, but that is only a few. Please visit this website (see link below) for a list of post-secondary institutions providing Application Fee Waivers, a link straight to the application, and instructions to apply the fee waiver to the application. They have a separate form for you to fill out to stay after you graduate.

Congratulations to our CHS boys and girls cross country teams! They ran in the Sectional/Regional meet at Wilcox County in Rochelle on Saturday, November 2. Junior Alan Baxcajay finished 6th overall in the boys race. Both teams will continue on to the state meet that will be held in Carrollton on Saturday, November 9. The boys team finished 7th out of 15 teams, and the girls finished 6th out of nine teams. We are so proud of these young ladies and gentlemen. #TigerPride #XCRocks #KeepPushingToGreatness
