Happy Thanksgiving, Tiger nation!
At CMS, Mrs. Liberatore's class took time to cook together and spend time together as a family before going home for Thanksgiving Break. They also had the opportunity to spend time eating their meal with Mrs. McElveen's class.
At ECCSS, we hope that you are enjoying your Thanksgiving Break, and we look forward to seeing our family back in the building next week!
So much to be thankful for in November and throughout the year!
Please help ECCSS share another round of gratitude for our Tiger Band and Color Guard! Thanks for all the great and memorable performances so far this year!
Here are a few more photos from the Tiger Town Throwdown Band Competition in Commerce. Special thanks to Commerce City Schools and Mr. Devin Witt for taking and sharing all of the great pics of our Tigers!

CMS recently held a signing ceremony for the Class of 2028 REACH Scholars. These students earned a $10,000 scholarship that will be awarded to them upon high school graduation. The students were chosen by a group of judges through an extensive interview process. Mr. Freddie Gardner, judge and guest speaker at the ceremony, spoke about how well these five students performed in their interview. The students had the opportunity to introduce themselves and speak about their plans after high school. The students took a pledge to maintain good attendance, grades, and behavior, and their parents and other adults present took a pledge to hold them accountable and help them be successful. Dr. Waters, ECCSS Superintendent, congratulated the students and told them that we would love to have them back in our school system as teachers one day, if they so chose that career. Mrs. McDowell, CMS principal, congratulated the students on this major accomplishment and told them how proud Claxton Middle School is of them. We would like to thank the Strickland Foundation because without their generous contribution, this scholarship would not be possible for our students. Congratulations to our Class of 2028 REACH Scholars: Amy Allende-Muthe, Allisson Martinez, Braylon Ball, Naomi Morales-Perez, and Katherine Rosales-Rodriguez.
