CMS students in 7th grade math used digital technology and the 4C's to create posters of inequality keywords to help decipher word problems. #4Cs

Our athletes had a fantastic time bowling at The Clubhouse in Statesboro for the Fall Special Olympics 2022. We have the BEST athletes at Claxton High School and Claxton Middle School!

The CMS/CHS Bands and Chorus performed their Christmas Concert for a full house on Tuesday, December 13. All three groups did an excellent job. We'll be posting more pictures from the event directly to the ECCSS Facebook page. #MerryChristmas #RealLifeApplication

Ms. Ikner's 6th grade ELA students participated in a student-led discussion based on the Harkness method. Each student posed a question and an answer in the discussion as it related to the three texts that were read. Students discussed the topics that presented in each of the articles and attempted to find the connection in them. #activelearning #studentleddiscussion

CHS students enjoyed the Winter Wonderland Dance that was held in the CMS/CHS cafeteria on Saturday, December 10. It was a semi-formal event and there was lots of dancing and memories made. Thank you to all who helped make it a success.

Special Olympic athletes from CMS , CHS, and Evans County Hall of Famers demonstrated their skills in the first Fall Games since 2019!
CHS SOGA volunteers gave their time to facilitate bocce and basketball skill stations and cheer on the athletes!
It's good to be growing together again!

On 12/8, Mr. Gay's High School High Tech students took a tour of the Savannah College of Art & Design (SCAD) campus. Our students were able to tour many of the classrooms because the SCAD was already on Winter Break. The most exciting part of the tour was the interactive SCAD Story that showcased many of the talents of past students. The students were surprised to see that college doesn't always just consist of book work. Students saw that many careers require more hands-on training as opposed to the traditional learning experiences.

Monday calls for reindeer games at CMS!

Just a reminder...CMS and CHS will hold their annual Christmas Concert for band and chorus students on December 13th, at 5:30 p.m., in the CHS gym. Please join us and support our students as they display their hard work and talent!

Students in Mrs. Nicoli's art classes are using technology to "travel around the world" and learn about different countries and how they celebrate Christmas. Their research includes what type of food, art, dances, and costumes one might see in different countries during the Christmas season. Students are also comparing those traditions to our American traditions. #4Cs

The CMS Baseball is selling raffle tickets from now through January 12 for a Blackstone Grill.
Tickets may be purchased from Coach McLean, Mrs. Amber Sapp, the CMS/CHS office, concession stands during home basketball games, middle school baseball players, Tiger Management members, and your local Ace Hardware Store in Claxton.
The drawing will take place on January 13, 2023 at CMS, and you do not have to be present to win.
Thanks for your support!

Each middle school teacher will select one student who exemplifies high personal character. These students will be invited to attend the middle school game free of charge and will be recognized during half time of the boys game.
