PLEASE NOTE: The Jenkins County School System, working with law enforcement officials, has implemented a Clear Bag Policy at Roy Head Stadium and the Jenkins County Schools Performance Gym. Small clutch bags, approximately the size of a hand (no larger than 4.5” x 6.5”), with or without a handle or strap can be taken into the stadium. Fans can still carry items such as binoculars, smart phones, tablets, and camera, so long as they are not in a bag or carrying case. Seat cushions – no wider than 16” will still be permitted into the venues. The Evans Region College and Career Academy (ERCCA) is pleased to announce that we are one of six schools across the state participating in this year's FLEX program. This year-long program is designed to grow and recognize young entrepreneurs through formal study and a "Shark Tank" style competition. Students participating in the FLEX program will learn more about the trials and tribulations of entrepreneurship, and they will have a chance to win cash prizes, including $5000 for the first-place winner of this year's competition! Melissa Dark, Director of the Fitzgerald Chamber of Commerce, and Hal Wiley, Fitzgerald High School College and Career Academy CEO, visited our school to introduce our stakeholders to this innovative initiative. In order for schools to successfully implement the FLEX program, school and community partnerships are essential, especially partnerships with local business owners and leaders! #Real-WorldOpportunities #SomethingDifferentatCHS #CommunityPartnerships #CollegeCareerLifeReady

ECCSS would like to thank our local law enforcement agencies for conducting a Concentrated Patrol of our school bus routes this morning. These patrols are proactive safety measures to ensure we are able to transport our students in a safe and reliable manner. Please remember when a school bus is stopped on a road with its lights on and sign out, in most cases, vehicles traveling in BOTH directions MUST STOP. Please see the graphic below for more information about the law. We ask for and appreciate the public’s help in following these bus safety rules. We appreciate all you do to exercise caution and to keep our Tigers and our community safe!
