The CMS/CHS school nurse will be on site for open house tonight, Monday, August 1st, if you need to visit the nurses' office and discuss your child's health needs. Open house begins at both schools at 4:00 pm and will end at 6:00 pm.
The CHS Class of 2023 officially began their senior year with the Senior Breakfast.
Reminder- Open House is today, August 1st, from 4:00-6:00 PM!
We will also have stations set up at each school to help families with Infinite Campus registration for returning students.

Seniors and two guests are invited to attend a Senior Breakfast, August 1st, at 8:00 AM, in the CHS Cafetorium. Senior pictures will follow the breakfast. We will also have a station set up to help families with registration for returning students.

We will have staff and technology available to assist parents with this process at Open House on Monday, August 1st, from 4:00-6:00 PM.
Late yesterday evening, Evans County Charter School System (ECCSS) reported that a student altered a message that had been shared through our Kinvo messaging system. Upon investigation of this incident, it has been determined that the Kinvo messaging system was not hacked. The message was linked to a shared Google Doc, and the student made an unauthorized and highly offensive amendment to the shared Google Doc. Corrections have been made, and the district will be pursuing legal action. Again, our ECCSS Kinvo messaging system was not hacked and is protected through a firewall and cybersecurity measures.

Evans County Charter School System (ECCSS) knows that building relationships and creating an active learning environment help all students learn and achieve at high levels!
CHS welcomed their faculty with a luncheon before their first staff meeting of the year. During the meeting, new staff introduced themselves by sharing items they had placed in a brown paper bag, and all staff revealed their Color Personality Test results. Throughout the meeting, staff used strategies involving the the 4Cs (communication, collaboration, critical thinking, and creativity) to connect with one another and review the district's strategic and school improvement plans.
CHS looks forward to meeting this year's students and offering them the best learning environment!

CMS gathered for their first 22-23 staff meeting yesterday. During the meeting, our professional learning team (PLT) leads and other staff shared about their takeaways from the Solution Tree Professional Learning Conference (PLC) this summer. The PLC conference is focused on helping educators learn, plan, and implement strategies that will lead to continuous improvement for students, staff, and schools.
CMS is excited to begin collaboratively implementing all they learned in their training!

CES faculty and staff opened the 2022-2023 school year with a welcome-back breakfast! There were lots of smiling faces as staff participated in a teacher-led four corners activity to help them get to know their colleagues and professional learning teams (PLTs) better!
