This morning the top businesses and their mentors participated in the final FLEX workshop. Today's workshop was all about presentation. From speaking tips to props, Instructional Coach Candice Kirby covered it all! The remaining businesses are ready to impress the next panel of judges one week from today with not only their products but also their presentations.

Today representatives from Job Training Unlimited offered sophomores and juniors a range of services that will help them secure summer work and support their future plans. The services include resume and interview preparation, job placement, tutoring, and financial rewards for high school graduation and dual enrollment participation. Ms. Hendrix and Ms. Peel’s class read the story “Who Sank the Boat?” Afterwards, they did their own fun boat activity. They divided into groups to see how many of each different item it would take to sink the boat! They used monkeys, frogs, and farm animals. #CES #ExcellenceLeadershipFamily

Mrs. Hana Hendrix was surprised to be recognized as a WTOC Top Teacher! Mrs Hendrix was nominated by sophomore Karly Garrison. Karly nominated Mrs. Hendrix because "she teaches us lessons we can use inside and outside the classroom. She cares for every student's education, and she makes learning fun for everyone." 8th graders in Miss Bowers's P.E. classes have been learning about flag football. They learned the rules, referee signals, and plays. In these photos, they are putting it all together as a full game.
