Mark and Victoria Shuman visited Holly Durrence's Multicultural Literature classes today. Mr. Shuman provided the students terrific tips about speaking effectively in front of others. Many of these tips, while they applied to public speaking, were wonderful words of advice for living a successful life.

The Evans County School System is proud to announce that it will host a vaccination clinic for all ECSS employees who wish to receive the vaccine on Friday, March 12, 2021. The district is able to provide this opportunity for its employees by partnership with the East Georgia Healthcare Center (CES Clinic), the Evans County Health Department, Evans Memorial Hospital, and Southern Family Medicine. Throughout the pandemic the district and the Evans County Board of Education have remained diligent in following CDC and DPH guidelines to the best of our ability. We believe by doing so we have been able to keep schools open since September 9, 2020 with the exception of closing CHS and CMS for 2 days back in December.
In January, the district extended its Covid-19 leave procedures to support employees who were required to quarantine. This is an additional step to ensure we are keeping employees and students as safe as possible while being able to continue operations. "I believe this is another step in the right direction in defeating this pandemic. Our number one priority is keeping our students and faculty safe and look forward to getting back to business as usual as soon as possible. We extend a HUGE THANK YOU to our healthcare partners!"
