If you need an extra incentive to give blood, at the March 28th blood drive at CHS, each pint that is successfully donated will earn $25 toward the sport of the donor's choice. CHS senior Mollie Lane has selected "Give Blood. Give Life" as her Community Service Initiative for her upcoming Miss Georgia Teen Competition. She has partnered with a business (State Farm) and Shephard's Blood Center to raise awareness about blood donations and to increase the number of pints donated at CHS. The collaboration of this event will have a positive impact on our teams directly as well as the HOSA club that hosts this event. It is a Win! Win! #GiveBloodGiveLife #PartnershipsRock #ThankYouStateFarm #TheDEN

The CMS Junior Beta Club embarked on a wonderful journey with its first officer-led meeting, setting the stage for a year filled with achievement, character, leadership, and service. 🌟 Vice-President Emily Stephens led the charge by visiting our mission statement with the team, reinforcing our commitment to ensuring that every student has the opportunity to achieve the highest levels of learning and character development. 📚💡 But we didn't stop there! Zachery also guided our members through an inspiring personal development activity. It was a powerful session that allowed everyone to reflect on their strengths and areas for growth, aligning with our goals of nurturing future leaders and positive community impact. 🚀 Highlight of the day? Our hands-on service project! Our members put together thoughtful gift bags for younger students at Claxton Elementary School. Each bag was crafted with love, demonstrating our dedication to serving and uplifting our community. 🎁❤️ Kudos to our incredible officers - President Zachery Valentine, Vice-President Emily Stephens, Secretary Citlaly Hernandez-Ramirez, and Treasurer Amy Allende-Muthe - for their commitment and leadership in making this meeting a success. 💫 We're so grateful for the support from our members, parents, staff, and community partners. Your plastic egg donations and collaboration are what helped make our service project possible! We look forward to more meetings where we can plan ideas that help make a positive difference in the lives of others. The Junior Beta Club is on a path to make this year truly unforgettable. 🎈 #JuniorBetaClub #Leadership #Service #CommunityImpact #Achievement #CharacterBuilding #TeamSpirit #RoarANDSoar

Have you seen this smiling face in Kemp’s Pharmacy? If you have been to this business, you may have seen senior Mollie Lane at work! She is a pharmacy tech at both EMH and Kemp’s, and these job placements have been the perfect experience leading up to her future plans. Mollie, who also happens to be the CHS Star Student for 23-24, will attend the University of Tennessee and pursue a doctorate in pharmacology. Her heart is for research, so she plans to work in this area once she obtains her degree. CHS is so proud of you! #BlackAndGoldBuildingSuccess #TigerPride #TheDEN

📚✨ Big week at CES! Allison Stull from Pioneer Valley Books was back on campus, diving into K-2 classrooms alongside our administrators and instructional coaches to spotlight strong small group reading instruction 🧐📖. The goal? To empower our teams with the know-how to identify and implement robust instructional practices. After observing, Allison engaged in insightful debriefs with K-2 teacher teams, highlighting successes and identifying tweaks to further empower our educators and students 🍎📚. She also continued her professional development work with our 3rd-grade ELA teachers, focusing on In-Tandem word study routines. But that’s not all! Allison delivered a dynamic Interactive Read Aloud writing lesson for our 4th and 5th graders' ELA teachers and coaches, setting the stage for future virtual PD sessions 🖥️📘. As our teachers craft their interactive read-aloud lessons beyond the 12 provided by PV, Allison is there every step of the way, offering guidance on creating enriching content aligned with our standards 🌟📝. #ReadySetGrow #PioneerValley

🎉 **Electric Wonders Unleashed in Mrs. Bullard's Fifth Grade Classroom!** 🎉 Our scientists have been busy, hands-on, piecing together the puzzle of **simple electric circuits**. Here's a sneak peek into their electrifying journey: 1. **Understanding the Essentials**: Every student became a mini-engineer, identifying key components like batteries, wires, and bulbs. It was like watching little sparks of genius flying around the room! 2. **Designing Masters**: With newfound knowledge, they sketched and then brought to life their very own circuits. The air was buzzing—not just with electricity but with creativity and excitement. 3. **Explaining Like Pros**: But they didn't stop there! Each young inventor took a moment to explain their design, sharing insights about how electricity flows and lights up our lives. 4. **The Redesign Challenge**: Embracing the true spirit of innovation, they reimagined and refined their circuits, proving that learning is indeed a continuous journey. The energy was infectious, and the pride in their eyes was brighter than the bulbs they lit up! 💡 A big shoutout to our little geniuses for lighting up our day with their creativity and enthusiasm. Your spark truly made the classroom brighter!

The PE department at Claxton Middle School was able to incorporate some digital learning into their classes by allowing students to watch part of the March Madness tournament. The students were able to see a modeled visual representation of what an actual, high-level basketball game looks like. They were able to see examples of communication, attainable skills, passing, and rules enforcement. The students practiced the skills after watching, and they will be assessed on basic rules and fundamentals of the game.
