CHS Tiger Baseball would like to thank everyone who was able to attend our Movie Night Fundraiser event. Also, a huge thank you to all who helped make this event a success. There was something for everyone. Many came early to enjoy the pre-movie events: 9-Hole, Cornhole. Around The Horn, Homerun Derby, Dunking Booth, Face Painting, and Concessions. Everyone seemed to enjoy watching Wonka on the big screen. We love our Tiger Community. #TigerPride #TigerFamily

We’ve mentioned that it’s the “growing season” here in SE Georgia. Well, we’re always growing in the Evans County School System, and junior Reese Waters is yet another young person who has chosen to expand her professional horizons through Work-Based Learning. Reese works at Quik-Kut, Inc., in Claxton, and she does a super job working in the showroom. If you visit Quik-Kut to purchase an item for your lawn care needs, you may see this smiling face. After high school, Reese plans to attend college and go into the Nursing field. CHS is proud of you! #TheDEN #TigersBuildingSuccess

Our Tigers are being intentional when it comes to finding summer jobs! Please help ECCSS recognize and celebrate Ashley Cerro Montoya, an 11th-grade student at CHS, and Dasha Gonzalez, an 8th grader at CMS!
Ashley and Dasha were selected to participate in the Migrant Education Program (MEP) at the University of Georgia this summer.
The one-week residential program is designed to expose rising 9th-12th grade participants to campus life at UGA through activities and classes with UGA faculty and staff. The program emphasizes the importance of students earning a high school diploma and exploring post-secondary opportunities. The program is also designed to help current eligible migrant education students improve their reading, writing, and language skills, so that they may be better prepared to fulfill the requirements for high school graduation in Georgia. In addition to academic instruction, students will participate in other enrichment and campus activities, including arts, leadership, community service projects, field trips, and more!
Congrats, Ashley and Dasha! We wish you all the best at MEP!

🌱 Spring Planting Season in Full Bloom at CES! 🌼
Spring has sprung, and it's the perfect time for planting! Mrs. Kelly's class is diving deep into the life cycle of plants in their Science lessons. 🌿 Recently, they embarked on a hands-on class project by planting pinto beans. Over the coming days, the students will journal their observations, eagerly awaiting the first sprouts. 📓👀
This practical approach not only teaches them about plant growth but also cultivates patience and excitement as they watch nature unfold right before their eyes! 🌱🔍
