💛🖤💛CHS senior Kaelyn Smith found her MATCH!! 💛🖤💛 Kaelyn was notified on Friday that she received the QuestBridge Scholarship and will receive full tuition for four years at Vanderbilt University! CHS Students- Free Online Tutoring through GATutor GaTutor is a groundbreaking program powered by Georgia Virtual Learning. Georgia-certified teachers with solid content area expertise provide one-on-one tutoring sessions tailored for each individual student. Best of all, it's entirely free! GaTutor offers flexibility for students, with tutoring sessions available outside of regular school hours. Students select the dates and times that work best for them, making academic success more accessible than ever! CMS BETA students Omar Sanchez-Gonzalez (6th grade), Ashley Luna Gonzalez (7th grade), and Katherine Rosales-Rodriguez (8th grade) took the Spanish academic test for their grade level. Ashley and Omar both placed 5th in the state, and these two spots earned them a spot for Nationals in June. We are proud of all three of these students because the academic competitions are very difficult. They had to take a 50 question test in only 30 minutes! Awesome job, guys! #RoarANDSoar #Betafamous

CMS BETA students Matthew Griffin, Citlaly Hernandez Ramirez, Bryson Stanfield, Brayden Tapley and Danika Mikell competed in the Engineering competition at the Georgia State BETA Convention. They successfully built a rollercoaster in 45 minutes. Their use of the 4 Cs led to a successful product at competition. Although they didn't place in the top five, we are super proud of them for their critical and creative thinking, communication and collaboration! #RoarANDSoar #Betafamous

CMS will be having its fall book fair next week, December 5-11. Students will visit on the following schedule: Tuesday-7th grade; Wednesday-8th grade; Thursday-6th grade. Students will also be allowed to visit on Friday (Dec. 8th) and Monday (Dec. 11th) with money and teacher permission.
