In honor of Literacy Month, CES students were gifted a new book, courtesy of the Marine Toys for Tots Foundation Literacy Program. Students were excited to choose their own books that matched their interests and passions. These are not just books; they are keys to open doors to imagination, creativity, and creating a life-long love for reading. 📚🌟 #ReadySetGrow #CES

📚 Exploring "The Brilliant Deep": 3rd Graders Dive into Literature 📚
Last week, 3rd graders read "The Brilliant Deep". They practiced asking and answering literal and inferential questions with partners and individually. 🤔💭 Then, students responded to the text by thinking critically about how the main character problem solved. 🧐💡 Students then shared and celebrated their writing together! 🎉📝

Students in Mrs. Brown's 7th Grade Science classes used an app called "Explore" and the help of a special guest, "Mr. Body," to guide them through an interactive lesson. By the end of the class, students were able to learn how the digestive, circulatory, respiratory, and other systems interact with each other to perform life processes. It was an engaging way for students to gain a deeper understanding of how the human body works together as a whole. The Explore app really helped bring the content to life, and having Mr. Body there gave them a visual. #4Cs #RoarANDSoar
