9th grade students in Mrs. Smith's 9th grade Algebra 1 class were able to collaborate in small groups to put together six puzzles which required them to match a quadratic function graph to its equivalent vertex form, standard form, or intercept form. #4Cs #ActiveLearning

CHS alumni & Evans County entrepreneur, Abe Eason, visited Ms. Selph's & Mrs Watkins' advanced math students to demonstrate how he uses trigonometric functions on a daily basis as a land surveyor. Huge thanks to all of our students, our ELA teachers and friends, and our YGA Scoring Panel for all they poured into YGA this year!!! The grade-level competition was intense, and our 28-person YGA panel scored our grade-level top-five to determine our overall winners. Our YGA grade-level winners are listed in the table below. These grade-level winners advanced to the next round of the YGA competition with FDRESA! Read Across America Week CES celebrated reading and Dr. Seuss by wearing stripes or a favorite hat.

CHS basketball players visited CES 3rd grade classrooms to kick off our AR March Madness competition. The players read a basketball book and talked with the 3rd graders about reading, dreaming big, and never giving up. The boys shared encouraging words and got the 3rd graders excited for a month-long reading competition. #CES #marchmadness #ReadingIsFun

Students at CHS are learning to have a servant's heart! CTAE students interested in serving at the Community Center's monthly Feed the Hungry site completed a simple application. Selected students attended with Ms. Channa Robinson and Mr. Bradley Hall. After a morning of hard work, these kids enjoyed a special pizza lunch together. #TheDEN #servingothers
