Ms. Hendrix and Ms. Peel’s class read the story “Who Sank the Boat?” Afterwards, they did their own fun boat activity. They divided into groups to see how many of each different item it would take to sink the boat! They used monkeys, frogs, and farm animals. #CES #ExcellenceLeadershipFamily





Herff Jones will be on the CHS campus after school until 5PM on Thursday, February 23 in case you want to still place an order for a class ring and/or a letterman jacket. Please see the attached flyer for more information.


This morning the top businesses and their mentors participated in the final FLEX workshop. Today's workshop was all about presentation. From speaking tips to props, Instructional Coach Candice Kirby covered it all! The remaining businesses are ready to impress the next panel of judges one week from today with not only their products but also their presentations.

Today representatives from Job Training Unlimited offered sophomores and juniors a range of services that will help them secure summer work and support their future plans. The services include resume and interview preparation, job placement, tutoring, and financial rewards for high school graduation and dual enrollment participation. Ms. Hendrix's Pre-K class has been learning about penguins. They made edible penguins, labeled the parts of a penguin, wrote facts about them, and made penguins out of shapes. #CES #ExcellenceLeadershipFamily





Mrs. Hana Hendrix was surprised to be recognized as a WTOC Top Teacher! Mrs Hendrix was nominated by sophomore Karly Garrison. Karly nominated Mrs. Hendrix because "she teaches us lessons we can use inside and outside the classroom. She cares for every student's education, and she makes learning fun for everyone." Mrs. Strickland and Ms.Christman's class celebrated Groundhog Day by making a treat that looks like a groundhog coming out of his burrow and seeing his shadow. #CES #ExcellenceLeadershipFamily





8th graders in Miss Bowers's P.E. classes have been learning about flag football. They learned the rules, referee signals, and plays. In these photos, they are putting it all together as a full game.
