CMS would like to congratulate our 8th grade students who were chosen as Students of the Week in August! These students consistently work hard with a great attitude! Ethan Bragg and Felicia Manuel, we are very proud of you!
Ninety CHS students are part of dual enrollment this year! That means these young people are pursuing college coursework while in high school.
Pictured are three of these students: Will Parker, a first year dual enrollment student, and Josue Baxcajay-Jimenez and Carlos Garcia-Jimenez, second year dual enrollment students. These young men will graduate from high school with their diesel mechanics credentials.

Herff Jones representatives will be on campus for letterman jacket orders on Friday, September 9th during both CHS lunches. $100 deposit is required to place an order. Another option is to order online at gradnow.com.

Many students in ECCSS are working on narrative writing in their ELA classes.
Check out these pics below from Ms. Shaul's class. These CES 3rd graders participated in shared, guided, collaborative, and independent writing for their narrative practice. Students helped Ms. Shaul with word choice and idea development, practiced with Ms. Shaul and a classmate's help, and then practiced adding to their narratives independently.

All 8th grade students need to return their REACH Scholarship applications by Tuesday, Sept. 6th. Applications can be turned into the office, the media center, or given to the homeroom teacher.
Congratulations to CES, our CES Counselors, and all of our teachers at CES for the awesome job they are doing with implementing the 7 Mindsets lessons, our social-emotional learning curriculum.
CES’s 7 Mindset mural and counselors, Ms. April Smith and Ms. Lelia Stephens, were featured on the national Facebook page for 7 Mindsets for Educators.
